So we’re all done for 2011 and it was a great year. The party went off without a hitch (except for the chicken, my bad) and we just want to thank everyone for coming out. It was one of our best turnouts for an AGM and the party.
The new board was voted in and we want welcome Dawn McHale-Boulter, Tony Taylor and Michelle Wulff to the 2012 board of directors.
There were some good ideas brought up at the meeting and we will do our best to implement them next season. We really want to make the races and the track as fun and as possible so if you have an idea that you think we’ve missed, let us know.
We will post pics of the rider awards and details on the upcoming Christmas parade ASAP so check back soon!

So I’ve had a few emails letting me know what people are bringing to the party sand it looks like this:
50? Pulled Pork Sandwiches
1 Veggie Plate
1 Dessert Tray
200 Baked Chicken Thighs (from Langley BMX)
Brocoli Salad

We’ve got blueberry crumbles. yum.
Add greek salad and carrot cake and potato salad.!
We’ve a deli plate added to the list.
Add mac and cheese and cup cakes

We could use another salad and some more vegetables and desserts. I might have missed something and I will post it as soon as I’ve been reminded

Riders Ready?

Our year end festivities are on November 20, 2011
All Langley riders are welcome, the more the merrier.

We will start things off with swimming @ W.C. Blair from 12-2pm
22200 Fraser Highway, Langley
Hit up the wave pool in your speedos and bring the kids too.

The Annual General Meeting will be @ the George Preston Rec Center at 3pm
20699 42 Ave, Langley
We will elect a new board for 2012 and go over any details from the 2011 season.
Please come out and vote or run for a position if you are interested.
There will be child minding available so there is no excuse!!
The track is run by volunteers and the more people who can help the better!

The dinner will also be @ the George Preston Rec Center from 4-6pm

We will be having a pot-luck dinner and we need your favourite dishes to complete the menu.
The track will provide a main dish so email us and let us know what you can bring.
We will be handing out awards and high fives so come on out and celebrate another great season of racing.

We raced this morning and once the fog rolled out, it was a fantastic morning. There will be no practice/race this week and next Sunday will be our last race of the season, weather permitting. We’ve had a great season and the racing has been super fun, lets hope we get one more in!

Make up race this Saturday (Oct 15) with a 3-3:45 registration and racing to follow ASAP.
