New for this year is another National in Chilliwack. So to start off the season in April we get to tear up another Billy Allen creation!!

Sorry folks but the rain doesn’t look like it’s going to let up in time to have a good time tomorrow. We made the decision tonight to avoid the scramble in the morning.

This would have been our last race of the year so we’ll see everyone at the Year End party!!!

Our year end party is fast approaching on Nov 15th at the George Preston Arena from 3-7. There will be activities for the kids and prizes will be handed out.  It will be a pot-luck dinner with Langley BMX providing a chicken entree, we will contact our members to see what you can bring.

The AGM is on Nov 22 also at the George Preston Arena from 7-8. This is open to all members over the age of 16. We will be voting in the new board members for the 2010 season. There will be 7 positions available that will include the President, Vice President, Track Operator, Treasurer and 3 additional board members. If anyone wishes to run for any of the positions they must send an email to info@langleybmx.ca before Nov 8th (midnight) The nominees will be posted here on the site on Nov 9.

Each family that has a membership in good standing with Langley BMX will be given 1 vote for each position on the board.

She has been busy all summer capturing our National events and there are a ton of shots to look through. At the Grands she went with a flash set-up that made for some unique shots that you couldn’t get from sitting in the stands.

Unfortunately I wasn’t there for the entire weekend but everyone I spoke with had a big smile on their face. I did get to watch on Sunday and I saw some fantastic racing. We had a great turnout of Langley riders and most took home some big trophies. All the results are posted here.

Big thanks to Marie and the rest of the volunteers who pulled off another great weekend. Send me pics of your kids and I’ll add them to the gallery.
